Privacy Policy

Scope and agency contact
This notice describes information handled through the Global Intelligence Bureau case-management portal and its enabled integrations. It does not replace a separate engagement notice or disclosures required for a particular investigation. Contact cases@globalbureau.us about privacy questions or requests.
Information handled
Depending on your relationship with the agency, the portal can hold account and contact details; company and client information; case instructions; subject identifiers and related investigative records; documents, photographs, video and reports; assignments, messages and activity history; and invoice and payment records. Hosting and security services may also process IP addresses, browser information, access times and security events.
Purposes and access
Information supports authorized casework, client service, scheduling, reporting, billing, communications, security and recordkeeping. Access is controlled through roles, assignments and release decisions. Authorized agency workers, clients receiving approved material and service providers may process information for those purposes. Legal disclosures, professional duties and authorized investigative work can affect what information may be shared or withheld.
Optional providers and transfers
Enabled integrations send information needed for the requested function. Google Maps receives map queries, addresses or coordinates; embedded maps may also send browser and network information to Google. Google services are subject to the Google Privacy Policy incorporated by reference and linked below. Authorized AI requests send selected text or subject identifiers to OpenAI; public research can use its web-search service. Dropbox can store uploaded files and backups. Email, SMS and security-challenge providers process relevant delivery or security information. Providers may process information outside your location under their own terms and retention practices. Enabling an integration is not a guarantee of zero provider retention.
Card payments
When enabled, Stripe or Authorize.net collects card details on its hosted checkout. Case Files stores invoice information, transaction references and payment status rather than card numbers or card security codes entered on those hosted pages. The payment provider applies its own privacy notice.
Cookies and browser storage
The portal uses session cookies and related security mechanisms for sign-in, request protection and preferences. Enabled embedded services or security challenges may use their own cookies or identifiers. Blocking required session cookies can prevent the portal from working.
Storage, retention and security
Records and backups can be held on the agency's hosting and configured cloud services. Retention depends on agency policy, the engagement, operational needs and applicable recordkeeping or legal-hold requirements. Deleting an active record may leave audit or backup copies. Encrypted recovery archives require their original keys; standard SQL and ZIP backup exports are unencrypted. Access controls and security measures reduce risk but cannot guarantee against every loss or unauthorized access.
Privacy requests and corrections
Contact the agency to request information about its handling of your data, correct information you supplied or ask about applicable access, deletion or other privacy rights. The agency may need to verify identity and authority. Disclosure or deletion may be limited by applicable law, third-party confidentiality, an investigation, a legal hold or recordkeeping obligations. This notice does not promise unrestricted access to confidential investigative records.
Changes
The agency may update this notice as its practices or enabled services change. The effective date appears on this page. Contact cases@globalbureau.us for the agency's current retention practices or questions about a specific service.
Google service policies
Use of enabled Google Maps features is subject to the Google Terms of Service and Google Maps/Google Earth Additional Terms. Google handles information under the Google Privacy Policy.
